So Namdi aka Ma Hitta Ma Hitta, has come up with a clever idea for self-reflection and goal actualization. He’s termed it the CDW-100. CDW-100 stands for the Character Development Workout (100-day programme). The plan is to do daily notes and milestone posts on every tenth day, as we count off each day from today 22 September, to the 31st of December.

No penalties or rewards.

Everything culminates in a comprehensive End of Year prayer and New Year’s Resolution list.

Yes, Namdi is deep like that. Ladies, form an orderly queue *here*…And no, you may not pay me in cheques. (Post-dating heifers!)

The whole process requires a bit of thinking and soul-searching and I think any personal journey to betterment should be privately undertaken, or at most undertaken with a good friend that can help keep you accountable like Namdi and I are doing. So, I doubt you’d be reading most of this personal journey splashed merrily on this blog because…well, my first name begins with a W, not a K. But whenever I think my story might be useful to someone, I might be compelled to share (IF your cheques don’t bounce…post-dating heifers!!)

So the methodology is this;

1.
List your pros, your cons and your aspirational qualities. Exchange with your ‘Alobam’ (I officially love this word, thanks Phyno! Please find the absolutely mental meaning of this word here http://www.360nobs.com/2014/05/360exclusive-get-to-know-the-meaning-of-alobam-lyrics/).
For instance I’ll show you a little example with some things I listed in mine:
Pros: Thoughtful, Practical, Smart…
Cons: Risk averse, not open, can be selfish
Aspirations: Openess, improved empathy.

2.
Get a little book and make daily notes or blog posts if you want to do this on your blog:

2a.
Find a quote that embodies one or more of your aspirational qualities
2b.
Write a letter to yourself about one pro or con- 100 words should do it.
2c.
Write about an aspiration you have and set a timeline on when to do it (learn to swim, run for president etc). You can also simply identify the aspiration and express why it is an aspiration of yours.

3.
Make notes of little 10-day Milestones in your little book or on your blog

3a.
List one of ten of your most burning desires: post on Instagram, or in your little book, with a timeline for achievement
3b.
List one of ten things you regret (personal or otherwise) but want to be thankful for
3c.
List one of ten things which you want to change

4.
The Final Day Interview
Based on your pros and cons list, we will each create a list of questions for each other which we will then answer as fully and honestly as possible.
