Rose

Haven’t done a poetry post in a while, so here you go, a pretty poem from Robert Frost.

You’re welcome.

“The rose is a rose,
And was always a rose.
But the theory now goes
That the apple’s a rose,
And the pear is, and so’s
The plum, I suppose.
The dear only knows
What will next prove a rose.
You, of course, are a rose –
But were always a rose.”

I know there are probably a ton of high-level interpretations for this poem, but here’s what I got.

You are who you are.

It doesn’t matter what trends the world brings or the labels they stick on you. Doesn’t matter the season, size, shape or style that is in. You are beautiful. You have always been beautiful. Even after the trends come and go, you will still be beautiful…exactly the way you are.

I’ve told you this before.
