When engineers write poetry, it looks something like this:
(A conversation on disruption with Saheed):
“…All these remind me of the Fractal and Chaos Theory in Advanced Mathematics.
One can say there is orderliness in disruption and chaos…and these are the reality of life.
“Fractal is the inherent orderliness in Chaotic events.”
And all Chaos starts with a seemingly tiny uneventful distant event that occurs long before the chaos. Popular is the Butterfly Effect; which states that the flapping of a butterfly wing in Mexico was the overall cause of a massive hurricane weeks later in China. If the butterfly had not flapped its wing at the precise time and way, the strings of other chain effects would not have happened leading to the hurricane.
Yet the hurricane in itself is neither a bad or a good thing, it all depends on WHO you are.
To the builders and cleaners etc., it presents opportunity to get more jobs. But, to the street people, it is pain and loss of money.
This also applies to the market- for every chaotic boom or bust, there is opportunity. Yet every boom must necessarily come with its burst!”
