Nah.

A little discussion on my Instagram page a while ago, following the picture above

Wendelyn:

Sermon today was titled, “What Happened to Black and White?” When did we as a world decide that there are no absolutes? No right, no wrong? Just 50 shadesof grey #PunIntended. Black is not the darkest shade of grey, white is not the lightest. There are standards, God’s rules exist. Still. And there’s a difference between falling and forgiveness…and ignoring or bending the rules to fit into my lifestyle. It’s hard to live counter to the culture all around us but nothing great happens in my comfort zone (but that’s just me, maybe I need to trade comfort zones! Lol)…and nothing epic happens when we ignore reality. Every right, all liberty we enjoy, every great move has been made because one person looked at the way things were and basically said, “Nah”. What’s this generation’s legacy? Today’s sermon wrecked me, hopefully it convicts someone else.

Nawahala:

“I was going to drop a *insert hands raised Dynasty symbol* here but I don’t want an emoticon to be my own legacy. There are absolutes but in a world of increasing diversity, absolutes are difficult to cling to when so many could suffer from the strength of one’s conviction. To make a statement, you have to be Rosa on the bus aware that the fallout of your decision is the suffering of others. It’s a tough place, the soapbox. A tough place to be, standing up for a cause.

Roserita86:

“It’s a combination of cowardliness and laziness. People are too afraid to go against the tide or too lazy to live their life by rules (even God’s rules). Hence the 50 (or 5, 000) shades of grey. It’s easier! So people hide behind ‘tolerance’ to justify their (our) state of inertia. This combined with our generation’s endless pride (which is often based on absolutely nothing) and delusions of grandeur and it’s a recipe for disaster. I sometimes wonder if God was so angry at Sodom and Gomorrah, how exactly does He feel about us today? Still, I guess since He hasn’t destroyed the world just yet, there must still be some ‘Lots’ amongst us. Or nah?

Edternity:

“Rosa had absolutely nothing to lose. Agents and instruments of change have to get to that place. The strange thing is that she probably did not forsee the snowball effect of that decision. She was probably just a lady that was tired of getting up for others to sit. Truth be told, a lot of people never get there. That is why the number of employees will always supersede the number of employers. It’s good that you ‘get’ it. Next step is to put it into action in your own life. As long as the human intellect is in effect and sedentary lifestyles are the norm, you may find yourself walking down that path with hardly anyone else being spotted in the horizon. That’s ok. Just keep walking (hopefully away from black, towards white).

Hmmmm, food for thought *Chews noisily* 
