These songs are my earworms right now:
1. More by Lawrence Flowers
I think I need to reposition my stance in worsphipping God. Too often, I am telling God “…Lord I’ve come to worship You, so take my worship!” as though it’s something precious and grand I am deigning to gift Him with. This isn’t the case at all. The bible says that if we were all silent, even the stones, nature would praise god. So He doesn’t need your worship. When I worship, I want it to really be with an understanding of grace so that what I’m truly saying is this, “Jesus, my heart’s desire is that my worship be acceptable and pleasing to You.”
‘MORE’ BY LAWRENCE FLOWERS
“Oh the worshiper in me wants to be free
From the cares of life that seem to weigh me down
Yes the worshiper in me needs consistency
To lift my hands and you give praise when no one’s around
Oh the worshiper in me wants to break free
From the intellectual mentality
But I when I should be up, I’m sitting in my seat
Should be lifting up my hands and giving you praise and glory
Lord, I should be giving you more, more
I should be giving you more
I wanna give my best to you
I wanna do what you ask me to do
I wanna go wherever you say
Just say the word and I will obey
I wanna live a life that’s real
I wanna serve you lord for real
For you deserve all this and more
So I give you more, more
I give you more more.
You’re deserving of more
I GIVE YOU MORE
2. MALI MUSIC
I have NO words to describe what I feel when I listen to Mali Music’s music, honestly. The man is incredibly gifted in drawing out and reducing to song what my spirit feels.
