I randomly came across an old birthday card given to me by the choir I was a part of, in my church in England (Worship Tabernacle; http://www.worshiptabernacle.org). The words are still so moving, I had to share.
“Darling Wendy,
May your heart always be warm and overflowing with joy and love,
May your thoughts be tranquil,
May your hands touch and hold on to your promises and dreams,
As He has ordained, so shall it be.
That which concerns you shall be delightful and beautiful…a joy to behold, just as you are
May your feet always be planted in the footprints of the Master.
May the right hand of God lead you and guide you and may His love daily enfold you.
May His right arm uphold and strengthen you
And may you always find grace in His sight.”
Amen.
That choir was amazing…actually, that church was amazing! God brought them to me at the EXACT time I needed them; through the church and my service in church (singing in the choir), God healed my broken heart and restored my direction, focus and joy.
**A special shout out goes out to my friend Ngozi O.O, for dragging me into the choir and never (ever!) letting me give up. A real soldier, that one.
***Everyone needs a soldier-friend.
