Heroes

I love this Procter and Gamble ‘Thank You Mum’ campaign.

My parents, like many parents, do so much for my sisters and I everyday and are really the unsung heroes in my life. The advert came to mind as I listened to this Drake song called ‘Look What You’ve Done’from Drake’s Take Care album. It is a rags to riches story and a thank you song dedicated to his mum/ aunty (I think!). 🙂

I enjoy listening to Drake. He reminds me of Kanye in the College Drop-Out days, that was the artist of my youth, let me tell you! I love when rap is clean, clear, accessible.

“Just another kid that’s goin’ through life
So worried that I won’t be accepted
But I could do anything, you said that, and you meant that
You took me places, you spent that, they said no, we went back
Checks bounced but we bounced back
I put all the money in your accounts back
And I thank you, I don’t where I’d really be without that,
It worked out man, you deserve it

[Hook]
Is this sh*t real, should I pinch you?
After all the things that we been through, I got you
Look what you’ve done, look what you’ve done
Look what you’ve done for me now
You knew that I was gonna be something
We stressed out, and you need some, I got you
Look what you’ve done, look what you’ve done”

I can’t wait to be able to take care of my parents in the way they deserve. They are amazing.
